Pursuant to Civil Service Law, Sections 51-2, this vacancy list will serve as notification of the County's intent to conduct open-competitive examinations for the competitive titles mentioned above. The Commissioner of Personnel reserves the right to hear 51-3 appeals, evaluate promotional fields and hold promotional examinations instead of open-competitive examinations. RESIDENCY: Unless residency has been waived we will only accept applications from residents of Tompkins or one of the six contiguous counties; Seneca, Tioga, Cortland, Cayuga, Chemung and Schuyler.
